Health Visiting Team

The health visitors are a team of qualified nurses specializing in Child Health. Our designated Health Visitors are;

Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust Health Visitors begin their support to you from week 30 of your pregnancy and then take over your care from the Midwife from day 10 after delivery. They are here to support you and advise you on things such as; child safety as well as growth and development of your child.  

Routine follow ups are arranged for you and your child at the following ages; 

• 6-8 weeks
• 12 months (1 year review)
• 24 months (2 year review)

In instances such as child protection cases or babies born with health conditions, the health visitors may review you more regularly to provide extra support and advice.

The Health Visitors meet on a monthly basis (usually on a Tuesday) with the GPs to discuss any patients they feel may require extra or ongoing support. Their scheduled meetings for 2022 are;

13th September
11th October
8th November
13th December
