Dr Helen Taylor's Retirement

Dr Helen Taylor retired from the practice on 26th July 2022.

Helen joined Poplar Grove Practice in Oct 2014, when the merger of Poplar Grove Practice and Broughton House Surgery officially took place.

Helen joined Broughton House Surgery in 1984 and became one of three part-time Partners. She had an interest in training young doctors but at the time was unable to become a trainer, so agreed to help the then PCT, in having F2 doctors coming to work in practice for six months. Since then she has become a GP appraiser and helps to mentor her colleagues across Buckinghamshire.

Helen’s patient list has always been very loyal to her and she has known a large number of them for 28 years, so this will be a huge wrench to many!

In her retirement, she is looking forward to spending time with her family; gardening and travelling.

The Practice team would like to say a huge thank you to her for all of her hard work, dedication and support for the last eight years and the couple of remaining Broughton House Surgery staff for the past 21 years – she will be missed!

We do have a retirement book and we are asking patients who wish to add any messages to this, please email them to admin.poplargrove@nhs.net with a subject heading of "Dr Taylor Retirement".

The important stuff
Dr Rachael Scott will still be helping to look after Dr Taylor's patients and will be joined in October by Dr Tomi Aridegbe, who some of you may be familiar with. Please note we are unable to internally transfer patients to other GPs lists.
