Important Notice for Patients
We would like to inform patients that Dr Cornish is leaving the Practice on 14th April 2022 to commence a new role in Oxfordshire. The Partners would like to thank him for his significant contribution to the Practice over the last five years and wish him well in his new role. Dr Cornish would like to thank all the staff for their support over his time at the practice and sends his best wishes to all his patients
Dr Wakeford retires after 35 years next Wednesday (30th March) and Dr Helen Taylor will be retiring from the practice at the end of July.
We also have two of our salaried GPs on maternity leave.
Dr Juliet Sutton will become our new Senior Partner
We are very pleased to welcome Dr Arun Prakasam who is joining the team on 20th April and will replace Dr Wakeford. We have been advertising for replacements for both Dr Cornish and Dr Taylor for the past six months and like so many of our colleagues in Primary Care we are struggling to find suitable replacements. We are aware that several our local practices are also carrying GP vacancies.
In the meantime, we have several long-term locums who are helping us out and Dr Wakeford has kindly agreed to work ad-hoc days to help us out – we must stress though he will be here as a locum and will be covering the absent GPs patients.
Some of you will already have met our locums Dr Partner, Dr Baguant, Dr Jalsi, Dr Dr Gaya and Dr Noble.
We also have our three GP registrars who are currently with us Dr Burden, Dr Aridegbe and Dr Siu.
As we recruit replacements for Dr Cornish and Dr Taylor, we will notify the appropriate patients and put a notice on both our facebook and website. There will also be posters within the Practice.
Along with so many other businesses, we are also having to deal with unprecedented levels of sickness amongst both the clinical and non-clinical team, as Covid is still taking its toll on all of us.
We would ask for your continued patience and understanding as we navigate through this difficult period and ask that we all treat each other with kindness.
