Thank you for supporting us through some difficult times recently, when we have been dealing with a combination of staff sickness and very high demand. 

We have unfortunately found that many pre-booked appointments are being wasted due to patients not attending after they have spoken to a GP via telephone triage first or people contacting us to request that their problem is dealt with more urgently. We have therefore made the decision to move back to 'same day' service which will enable us to better manage the urgent needs of patients as well as allowing us to be more resilient to staff sickness. 

Routine problems will still be dealt with, as long as there is capacity on that day to offer this. If there is not capacity, you will be asked to call back the following day. 

eConsult will be available again once we are confident that demand can be met. We will continue to review this system to ensure it is as safe and effective as possible.
