An exciting opportunity has arisen for full time experienced, enthusiastic and service orientated Pharmacy Technician /Pharmacy Assistant to work under the direction of our in-house Pharmacist, in our large friendly GP training practice.

The ideal candidate will be able to work as part of a team and be able to demonstrate confidence in contacting patients and carers to provide advice and information.  They will need to be able to work collaboratively with our clinical and non-clinical teams to meet the needs of our patients. 

The successful applicant should hold NVQ3 (NVQ2 as a minimum) and have a good basic knowledge of medication used in Primary Care; be conversant with word and preferably excel.

The successful candidate will support our Practice Pharmacist in managing the prescription services that we provide.  This will include dealing with queries from community pharmacists, GPs and patients; assisting with pharmaceutical audits and QOF work; processing MRHA alerts and contributing to our regular in-house prescribing meetings and newsletters.

We welcome applicants who have had previous experience of working in a GP Practice setting, or applicants who are keen to develop experience in primary care services.


  • Salary £10 per hour
