STRATEGIC BUSINESS MANAGER
22.5 HOURS A WEEK, PART TIME

Requirements:

  • Must possess good communication skills both written & verbally
  • Politically sensitive & have highly developed diplomatic skills
  • Be able to identify issues which may cause sensitivity at an early stage & either escalate or manage appropriately
  • A good knowledge of regulatory & contractual frameworks for Primary Care such as QOF, DES and PCCF
  • Be aware & understand data protection implications & manage information appropriately at all times

Key Duties:

  • Attend meetings with outside bodies
  • Work closely with the Practice Manager & Partners to develop a short, medium  & long term plan for the practice, including workforce & development of premises
  • Help respond to the new & current "must do" such as; 8-8 Improved Access
  • Plan agendas for meetings, host meetings as required, type up & distribute minutes in a timely manner 
  • Work closely with other managers, supporting their roles as necessary
  • Plan in liaision a comprehensive diary for PLT days with the Practice Manager & HR Manager
  • Be involved with PCN meetings when necessary - onsite & offsite

PARAMEDIC
FULL OR PART TIME

Requirements:

  • Must hold registered paramedic qualification & degree module in advanced clinical skills/diagnostics & be 3 years post registration
  • Non-medical prescribing is desirable
  • Must hold full UK driving licence & own a car insured for work purposes
  • Must be an effective communicator
  • Must have the ability to work as a part of a team, creating a positive culture & atmosphere
  • Must be able to work autonomously
  • DBS checked

Key Duties:

  • To work as a part of the daily duty team
  • Assess, plan treat and refer patients appropriately
  • Practice as an emergency care practitioner & demonstrate advanced clinical competence & knowledge
  • To recognise the need for & initiate where appropriate relevant diagnostic investigations
  • To undertake home visits
  • To triage patients from the Duty Doctor triage screen

ADVANCED NURSE PRACTITIONER (ANP)

Key Duties:

  • To work as part of the Duty Team
  • To undertake home visits
  • Diagnose & manage both acute & long term conditions
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement & evaluate treatment/interventions
  • Care for patients presenting at the practice & in their own homes
  • Prioritise health problems & intervene appropriately to assist patients in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including the iniation of effective emergency care

PRACTICE NURSE
FULL OR PART TIME

Requirements:

  • Must hold professional qualification laid down by NMC

Key Duties:

  • To provide a high standard of nursing care for patients.
  • All taks normally undertaken by a RGN & in addition;
    • Cervical Cytology
    • Wound care/ulcer care/doppler
    • Removal of sutures
    • Chronic Illness
    • Travel Clinic
    • Routine & Childhood Immunisations
    • INR blood testing
    • ECGs
    • Blood Pressure monitoring
    • Chaperone & assist patients when appropriate who are being examined by another clinician
    • Cary out NHS Health Checks
    • Request pathology tests via ICE
    • Follow agreed clinical protocols
    • Other tasks that the team lead depute (e.g. ordering supplies)

ADMINISTRATION CLERK
PART TIME - 14:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday
FIXED TERM - TEMPORARY POSITION

We are looking for a dynamic fixed term temporary addition to our administration/secretarial team.

Requirements:

  • You must have a sunny disposition
  • You must be able to work alone or as part of a team
  • The position will require some flexibility
  • You are expected to attend monthly meetings/training sessions
  • Previous experience is desirable but not essential

Key Duties:

  • Receiving patients & visitors both in person & on the phone
  • Typing referral letters & medical reports
  • Scanning confidential documents in patient records
  • Readcoding diagnosises
  • Dealing with patient & hospital enquiries
  • Making appointments
  • Signposting patients to the most appropriate healthcare professional
  • Help aid the smooth running of the secretarial area

SECRETARY FOR PPG (PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP)
VOLUNTARY POSITION

You would be required to attend monthly meetings (usually a Thursday 12.30pm to 2pm at the practice). You would need to take, type up and distribute minutes to the rest of the committee in a timely manner.
